Formed in January 2007 at the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles, the Saguaro Trio has burst on to the international music scene with stunning success.
The trio is made up of pianist John Chen, Luanne Homzy on violin and Karen Kang on cello.
The programme includes Schubert's second piano trio, written shortly before his death, and Ravel's gem of a piano trio, written as the First World War was looming, with Basque elements reminiscent of his childhood.
Also featured is a new commission by New Zealander Alwyn Westbrooke.
