A BIG BIG BIG Thank You

to all of you that
attended the Festival.

Every evening was brilliant and the musicians all commented on what fantastic audiences we had - audiences that were loud and clear in their appreciation of the music.   They also marvelled at the acoustics in the auditorium and what a beautiful room it is to perform in.

Also thank you for your kind comments - it was great to have so much feedback on the quality and professionalism of the shows and the staff.  That’s the icing on the cake for us because we all really love working in the Festival so much.

Did you know that David Helfgott (Helfgott's life inspired the Oscar-winning film Shine) is coming to perform in the auditorium in November.  Take this opportunity to see him in an intimate, unparalled venue, on the new Sturgeon Steinway piano.  This performance will be the smallest concert hall he has performed in for many years – he holds the record for selling out the Sydney Opera House for four consecutive nights in a row.   David Helfgott – here in NELSON – 21 November 2010. 

A big thank you to the staff at NSOM – Steffen Gehder for his boundless energy and commitment to perfection, Jan Sellers for keeping on smiling throughout the madness, Paul Jonkers for his unending patience, charm and efficiency, Bob Bickerton for his exceptional service to sound, John Richards for joining us in the 11th hour and being just a great addition to the team, Duncan McFarlane for his wit, and his backstage calm and professionalism.  I also want to thank all our wonderful volunteer ushers and bar staff. The festival wouldn’t be the same without your support.
